When the bike's journey gains momentum: The Outbound Team

If the bike’s journey begins with the Inbound team, the Outbound team makes sure it keeps moving forward.

Everything here starts with the production plan. Based on it, the required bicycle components are picked, unpacked, and delivered to the assembly line. This means that every part has to arrive at the right place, in the right quantity, and at the right time. In other words, the Outbound team makes sure the production lines are always fully supplied.

Among the members of this team are Jurgita and one of the company's longest-serving colleagues. He has been with the company since it first opened. Warehouse work is nothing new to him – throughout his career, he has worked in several different areas, but warehousing has always been familiar territory. With a smile, he compares warehouses:

“About 15 years ago, I worked as a warehouse operator. Compared to this warehouse, that one was just a tiny storage room,” he laughs.

Speaking about his first days at work, he recalls wanting to work as quickly as possible, almost turning it into a friendly competition. However, experience has taught him that accuracy and attention to detail matter most.

He shares his advice calmly:

“Speed comes with time. If you rush, quality will suffer. I always tell new colleagues not to hurry.”

He compares his work in the warehouse to riding on a cycling trail:

“First, you need to get to know the track – where the bumps are, where the hills are. The speed will come naturally.”

Jurgita joined the team less than six months ago, but she has already embraced the rhythm of warehouse work. She enthusiastically shares her experience:

“Every day here is different – new bikes, new components, and new challenges to solve. I find it really interesting.”

Looking back at her very first hours on the job, she admits that there was plenty of excitement:

“During your first few hours, you always feel a little lost. But when you have an experienced colleague supporting you, it makes a huge difference.”

According to Jurgita, it is the team that helps new colleagues settle in quickly:

“No one is ever left on their own. People train you, explain everything, and are always ready to help.”

Although warehouse work requires concentration and attention to detail, there is always room for a good laugh. Every morning, the team gathers to discuss the day's plans, solve any issues, and sometimes simply enjoy a joke together.

With a smile, Jurgita adds:

“We know how to work hard, but we also know how to laugh together.”

When describing their team, the colleagues keep it simple:

Hard-working. Friendly. Dedicated.

A team that ensures, every single day, that the production lines have everything they need.

Once all the necessary components reach production, the bike's story is only just beginning.

Next stop – Frame Preparation. 🚲
