🚴 This is where the bike frame gains its functionality: the pre-assembly team

The bike frame already has its own character and identity — now it's time to give it functionality. The pre-assembly team is the starting point of the whole build, taking over the frame after painting. Here, wires are routed through the frame, guides and mounts are installed, bolts are tightened, and other small but very important details are handled. This is work where not only precision of hands matters, but also attentiveness. Every part has to end up exactly where it belongs, and the frame itself has to be prepared so that no issues arise later in the following production stages.

Modesta has been working in this team for over a year now. She says she came to this position quite naturally — she tried it, liked it, and a good relationship with the team leader played an important role too. What she remembers most from her first day is the team.

"A very friendly group, everyone rushed to help, everyone welcomed me warmly," she recalls.

She settled into the work rhythm quickly, and over time took on more responsibility. After a year, Modesta became a senior operator. Now her daily work involves not only doing her own job, but also overseeing the whole team — making sure work runs smoothly and with quality, and stepping in to help wherever it's needed most.

The biggest challenge at the start was getting to grips with the system. As Modesta puts it:

"In the beginning it was harder to understand the SAP system, but now everything's going well," she says happily.

Justina, who recently joined the team, has been working here for four months. She also says that at first everything seemed new and complicated, but with time things became clearer and she gained more confidence.

"Everything was new, it seemed a bit tough, but it worked out great," she says.

One of the distinctive things about this job is the rotation of positions. Team members switch roles, so even knowing all the processes, every day can look different. According to Justina, it's exactly this variety that keeps the job from becoming monotonous.

"Even though you know all the positions, you don't know where you'll be working today. I like that there's no monotony," she says.

Both team members emphasize how united the team is. Even though daily habits have shifted as the team has grown quickly, the sense of togetherness remains.

"We used to sit together more often, now it's more in small groups, but we still try to be all together," says Modesta.

"I wouldn't trade this team for anything," Justina says without hesitation about her colleagues.

The pre-assembly team's work often stays less visible, but it's exactly here that the frame is made fully functional.
