Technical support and optimization team lead

About the role

We invite you to join the Pon.Bike Lithuania team as a Technical support and optimization team lead and become a part of the world-leading bicycle family Pon.Bike. You will report to the Manager Assembly and be responsible for all technical employees in the Technical department, as well as for the internal equipment of the total factory. Together with your team you will take care of the structural maintenance of tools, machines and installations, participate in projects to develop and improve production equipment, and solve malfunctions with due observance of the applicable safety and quality requirements.

Your responsibilities

• To implement the best leading practice with the technical team: take care of Health and Safety, as well as technical and organizational issues, manage the performance and development of your team, ensure efficient communication within and outside the team, organize meetings.

• To take care of the machinery and plant maintenance: ensure that inspections of machinery, electrical installations, preventive maintenance on machines and installations according to self-created checklists and procedures are delivered properly.

• Set the right example and encourage the team to make the improvement proposals to optimize the production process, participate in projects to promote machinery development, procurement and implementation of installation.

• To ensure that the ordering parts and services, as well as the administration in SAP by the technical team, goes smoothly.

• To keep documentation associated with machines and installations up to date in the appropriate programmes (CAD, Word, Excel).

• To ensure that the Technical Team performs proper reporting on (completed) failures.

• To ensure that planning, performing or commissioning scheduled maintenance, calibrations and inspections on production-related installations are carried out correctly.

• To ensure that the internal breakdown service by the Technical Team is provided efficiently.

• To arrange and ensure that the outsourced technical service is delivered properly.

• To assure together with colleagues from the production and manufacturing engineering department that bicycle development is covered by the available production machinery and toolings.

We expect that you

• Have a degree in technical engineering or similar fields.

• Have at least 3 years of experience in the technical team of a production company which has given you knowledge of machines and tools.

• Are able to read technical documentation in Lithuanian and English.

• Have experience in leading others and like to take responsibility not only for yourself but also for the team.

• Have good planning and organizational skills, can prioritize tasks and ensure that everything is done on time.

• Have good communication skills which will help you to work with your team and also with the outsourced technical support partners.

• Are a results oriented person with a passion to perform.

• Are able to communicate in English very well (verbal and written).
