About the role

We invite you to join the team as Team Lead End-Assembly at Pon.Bike Lithuania and become a part of the world-leading bicycle family Pon.Bike. You will report to the Manager Assembly, Manufacturing Engineering and Technical Support. Together with your team (~30 FTE) you will be responsible for the optimal running of the production process and for producing the production quantities within the set quality requirements.

Your responsibilities 

  • Contribute to the daily achievement of the department's objectives (managing the team at the End-Assembly Line in the Assembly Department).

  • Participate in the recruitment process of your team and ensure required resources. 

  • Organize the daily schedule in collaboration with other Team Leads of the department, ensure that the right people are deployed to deliver on goals; ensure employee’s instruction, task rotation and employability; be aware of work instructions and quality standards.

  • Report to the Manager Assembly, Manufacturing Engineering and Technical Support regarding progress and quality, quantity, work distribution, and any deviations. Furthermore, discuss department results, process improvements, and problems.  

  • Implement the highest standard of Health & Safety within the team, making sure they escalate accident reporting, report unsafe situations and take care of themselves (where possible).

  • Ensure good communication and discuss work within the team; create and support a climate in which employees contribute to discussions.

  • Ensure that agreed maintenance is carried out and structural maintenance is facilitated. 

  • Set the right example: independently reflect on improvement processes and encourage your team to come up with improvement proposals and implement them together.

  • Work on the other tasks delivered by the Manager Assembly, Manufacturing Engineering and Technical Support

We expect that you:

  • Have a higher or professional education degree.

  • Have at least 1 year of experience as shift manager / team lead or similar position in a production company (leading experience in Assembly line would be an advantage).

  • Experience with LEAN (an advantage).

  • Enjoy taking responsibility, not only for yourself but also for the team. 

  • Have good planning and organizational skills, be able to prioritize tasks and ensure that everything is done on time. 

  • Have good communication skills which will help you to work with your team. 

  • Are a results-oriented person with a passion to perform. 

  • Are able to communicate in Lithuanian and English very well (verbal and written).
